Essentially I've been down to using shotguns and 9/10 mm weaponry because that's the ammo I have enough of to eventually kill stuff. 44 magnum which hit fairly hard and I still ran out of ammo before one guy died. Yeah, I read up a bit about DT/AP and figured it was something like that, but at my level I don't really have any particularly hard hitting weapons. Compare that to a 12.7mm round which does 36 damage out of a SMG. 9mm does at most 14 damage or so? So that's maybe 4 damage, if you hit that hard. To get past DT, you need large caliber ammo, ideally AP.Д®ven a Veteran Legionary has 12 DT, down to 10 DT. guess what, no damage.Д©mm +P only reduces DT by two so that's not a whole lot. If an enemy has a DT of 20 (pretty high!) and you hit for 18. It basically lets you ignore damage under a certain amount. There's a stat in this game (not present in Fallout 3) called Defensive Threshold (DT).

The last group I ran into one of them just stood still and let me empty two full mags of 30 rounds of 9mm into his face at point blank range and he still didn't die. Two things have really stood out to me, beyond how much better it is all around than FO3.ДЇor one, jesus fuck does Bethesda just have a fetish with having the worst UI's in the entire gaming world? It's utterly atrociously bad.ДЄnd secondly, wow, are the Legionaries just complete asskickers or am I doing something wrong? Every time I run into them I have to spend 10 minutes cheesing because they all shrug off 50 bullets to the face like it was nothing, AP ammo or not. Yeah, I've recognized a fair amount of it by now, just making it to Vegas. I'm pretty sure they did use a lot of the older music in New Vegas.ДЄlso, curse you for reviving this thread. I'm gonna go play Fallout 1 once I'm done with this. Well, I probably would have liked it more if it hadn't been called Fallout, just didn't feel like Fallout to me.ДЄnyways, I'm now sure of my memory, I just made Nipton(was it?`), and the music is definitely Necropolis from Fallout. one of the new mods I added was this bathroom poetry mod. Maybe it works better for Skyrim (I'm not even going to try, though), but with FO:NV it's too much of a hassle. In the end, that whole exercise gained me nothing (on the contrary, I lost some mods) and just wasted a whole lot of time.

All of these mods need to be able to see each other to properly install and integrate, but the entire point of MO is that mods are isolated from each other.ДЄfter a lot of messing around and reading around, what I found was that you have to run a forked FOMM from inside MO and then install any UI altering mods with FOMM.

was painful.ДЄside from a few mod combinations that used to work fine before, but now cause instant CTDs on startup, the most annoying issue by far was dealing with UI mods and by extension Project Nevada. Got the bright idea of converting my existing mod collection from NMM to Mod Organizer, since that seems to be the cool new thing in town. I've actually started a new playthrough a while ago. I figured most of the locations in the game were fictional (and I never bothered to look at a real map of the area), so that was a neat thing to learn. and trigger someone elses next replay.Д®ver wondered how close sites in the game were to reality ? Oh its about time to drag this one back up to the front page.
